According to news, bitcoin mining merchant Greenidge Generation Holdings has ordered 10,000 Antminer S19j Pro from Bitmain, which will be delivered in the second and third quarters of 2022. The miners are expected to increase the computing power by 1EH/s. They will be deployed in a new mine in Spartanburg, South Carolina, a newly developed carbon-neutral mine after Greenidge's northern New York mine. Greenidge said that most of the power supply for the mine comes from clean energy generation, and it will achieve 100% carbon neutrality. According to previous reports, Greenidge has merged with technical support company Support and will be listed on the Nasdaq today.
