K62N60W TOSHIBA TO-247 Transistor is an electronic component IC. It is used in many fields, such as communication equipment, wired network, industrial electronic point of sale (EPOS), personal electronic PCs and notebook computers. In addition, it is green and RoHS compliant (lead-free/RoHS compliant). Each device is available in a small TO-247 package and specified over the extended temperature range of -40°C to 105°C (TA).
The K62N60W is a 600V high-voltage, high-power MOSFET in the PFC boost stage of an ASIC mining power supply, providing a stable power foundation for DC-DC conversion and the hash board. When this power MOSFET experiences gate leakage, soft breakdown of the drain and source (DS) junction, open circuit, or complete short circuit, even slight aging and degradation can cause a sharp increase in power supply temperature under full load, continuous high-frequency internal whistling, fluctuating hash rate, frequent high-temperature throttling, and intermittent restarts and disconnections. Severe DS shoot-through short circuits can instantly blow the input fuse, damaging the rectifier bridge, drive resistor, PFC main control chip, and freewheeling diode. Power-on will directly trigger overcurrent protection lockup, resulting in no 12V output and the entire machine failing to boot. This original-grade replacement fully restores the power supply's stable 400V high-voltage bus and the machine's rated full-load hash rate, reducing losses from offline mining downtime and lower repair and return rates.
