Product description

The GT24C02A is an industry-standard electrically erasable programmable read-only Memory (EEPROM) device located on the S21XP, S21pro, S21, T21, S19XP, S19XP Hydro, etc. hash boards, which uses an industry-standard 2-wire interface for communication, and contains a 2K-bit (256x8) memory array, with each page are organized in 16-byte form. The EEPROM operates over a wide voltage range of 1.7V to 5.5V, providing low power operation and low standby current. The device is available in lead-free, RoHS, halogen-free, or green packages. GT24C02A is compatible with standard 2-wire bus protocol. The simple bus consists of a serial clock (SCL) and serial data (SDA) signals.

GT402A marking chip function and fault symptoms:

The GT24C02A-2ZLI-TR (marking GT402A) is a 2Kbit I²C interface EEPROM storage chip used in ASIC miner hash boards to permanently store the board serial number and voltage calibration parameters, ensuring normal identification and stable mining. Chip data corruption or abnormal read/write operations can cause hash board identification errors, hash rate fluctuations, hardware errors, inability to directly identify the entire hash board in the backend, hash rate dropping to zero, frequent overvoltage/undervoltage protection failures, and occasional communication failures due to device aging. These failures manifest as intermittent identification and disconnection after restarting. Long-term unstable operation easily triggers repeated restarts. A short circuit in the chip can also lower the overall I²C bus voltage, interfering with the normal operation of other components on the same bus.
