When the Antminer S17 Pro kernel log shows asic = 36, while a single S17 Pro hash board has 48 BM1397AD ASIC chips, it means that the No.36 ASIC chip is faulty. The reason may be that the No.36 chip is damaged or pseudo soldering; for this failure, miners can troubleshoot through the following methods.

find 36 ASIC chips

Troubleshooting:

Use Fluke 15B+ multimeter to check the voltage and ground value of No.36 and No.37 ASIC chips, and compare the measured values with normal chips. If there is an abnormality, it is recommended to re-solder first. If the problem cannot be solved, you can directly replace the faulty BM1397AD ASIC chip.
