Correct use of SS-331:

• After each work, it is recommended to vacuum 3-5 times to empty the residual tin in the tube;

• If the interval between uses is about 20 minutes, it is recommended to clean the steel pipe with a needle after air suction;

• If you find that the suction power decreases during use, please use a needle to clean the steel pipe;

• If the frequency of use is very low, it is recommended to adjust the solder gun to about 200℃ and then adjust it to the operating temperature when in use;

• When there is about 1/2 tin slag in the tin storage cylinder, it should be cleaned in time. When the filter cotton is found to be hardened, it needs to be replaced in time.

Steps to remove and clean the glass tube:

• Turn this switch on (up)

• Press the end of the glass and pull it back

• Take the front end first (removal is complete)

Causes of sniffer gun blockage:

1. The temperature is set too low when desoldering for a long time. When the solder does not reach the tin storage cylinder, the temperature drops, and the solder remains in the tube, causing blockage.

2. There is too much tin slag in the tin storage cylinder and it is not cleaned in time. If the suction of the air nozzle head is not affected by timely cleaning, the tin slag at the tail must be removed. It can only be removed by heating it with a soldering iron and melting the tin.

Special Note:

After using the desoldering gun, there is still residue in the thin steel tube. If it is kept at high temperature, it will cause the tin inside to oxidize and produce tin slag (because the melting temperature of lead-free solder is 220 degrees, and the melting temperature of lead solder is 180 degrees); after the tin slag is oxidized, it expands and adheres closely to the inner wall of the stainless steel pipe to produce solid powder, which cannot be penetrated with a needle. Therefore, tin slag should be cleaned up in time when appropriate.
