How to replace the Bitmain CVITEK CV1835 control board？

Bitmain CV1835 control board, the version is Ctrl_CB8, equipped with SD card slot interface, suitable for Antminer S19j XP, T21, KS5, KS3, X5, Z15Pro, S19K Pro, S19, S19XP, S19Pro-A, S19j Pro, S19jPro+. The Ctrl_CB8 version is the latest Antminer control board developed by Bitmain. It uses a new generation of CVITEK CV1835 CPU chip to achieve higher performance.

Note: 2*2P fan interface for Antminer S19j XP, T21, and KS5; 1*4P fan interface is used for Antminer KS3, X5, Z15 Pro, S19K Pro, S19XP, S19, S19Pro-A, S19j Pro and S19jPro+.

If the CV1835 control board is damaged or not operating, the following faults may result:

The IP cannot be found, miner backend fails to enter, the hash board / fan is missing, the indicator light does not light up, etc.

Steps to replace the CV1835 control board

1. Take off the control board protective case. Disassemble the screws of the front bezel and press the round button on the rear cover to remove it.

2. Unplug all cables on the faulty control board: hash board data cable, fan cable, control board power cable, and voltage regulator cable.

3. Push the bad control board forward and remove it.

4. Before replacing the new control board, check whether it is a good board and install it according to the card slot.

5. Connect all the cables on the control board. After the connection is completed, check whether the connection is firm.

6. Install the front bezel of the control board and the upper cover, and tighten the screws.

7. After replacing the CV1835 control board, we need to flash the corresponding firmware according to the miner model.

8. Once all steps are completed, please test if the miner can resume normal operations.

The control board is an important part of the miner, and in the highly competitive mining industry, it is crucial to maintain the best hardware condition. When the miner is working abnormally, it is recommended that you carefully check whether the problem is a failure of the control board. If so, it is recommended that you replace the control board with a new one immediately to maintain the normal operation of the miner.
