IXFH46N65X2 650V 46A MOSFET transistor in a TO-247 package with low gate drive requirements for robust device performance and reliable operation.

The IXFH46N65X2 is a 650V/46A N-channel high-voltage power MOSFET. In Antminer and Whatsminer high-power mining rig power supplies, it is mainly used as a PFC boost diode and LLC half-bridge primary-side switch, serving as a core component for high-voltage power conversion and handling high-frequency switching and energy transfer on the 380V bus.

When the IXFH46N65X2 power MOSFET experiences breakdown or gate leakage, the mining rig power supply may experience fuse blowout, no output, repeated start-stop cycles, rapid overheating of the heatsink, low no-load voltage, and immediate voltage drop upon connection to the hash board, accompanied by high-frequency whistling. Under full load, it may briefly overheat and shut down. Unstable bus voltage can cause fluctuating hash rate and frequent restarts. In severe cases, it can burn out the paired MOSFET, drive resistor, drive chip, and even the downstream hash board, resulting in carbonized PCB traces and a burnt odor.
