The CA9546MTR is a 4-channel bidirectional I2C bus switching chip, specifically designed for the multi-channel digital temperature sensing solution of the Antminer S21Pro and S21XP hash boards. It resolves the bus conflict issue caused by multiple temperature sensing chips sharing the same address on the hash board, enabling the main controller to read the temperature data of each ASIC area in a time-sharing manner. It is a core replacement component for troubleshooting temperature sensing errors and abnormal temperature readings on the S21Pro and S21XP hash boards.
The S21Pro computing board uses multiple NCT218 digital temperature sensing chips sharing a single I2C bus, which is prone to address preemption, temperature measurement failure, system frequency reduction, and over-temperature protection shutdown. The CA9546MTR has four independent bus channels, allowing for time-sharing switching to read zone temperatures. A hardware reset pin quickly repairs bus jams, ensuring the stable operation of the overall thermal management system and real-time monitoring of the heating status of each ASIC, preventing overheating and burning out of the ASIC chips.
