The SI7N65F is a 650V 7A N-channel power MOSFET, a replacement component for the original power switching chip in the Antminer APW12 and APW17 series power supplies. It is used to repair unstable power supplies and repeated power outages in mining rigs.
When the SI7N65F MOSFET is damaged, aged, or has abnormal internal resistance, it can cause the ASIC miner to restart mid-operation or shut down automatically without reason. Replacing the original component with this part can effectively resolve these faults.

1. Set the digital multimeter to diode measurement mode.
2. Connect the red probe to the source (S) and the black probe to the drain (D) → The reading should be between 100 and 1000 mV, indicating the chip is qualified.
3. Swap the probes: Red to D, black to S → The screen should display OL/infinity, indicating a faulty chip.
1. Use a desoldering pump to remove solder from the MOSFET pins.
2. Gently pull out the faulty MOSFET using tweezers.
3. Install the new MOSFET. Ensure the new MOSFET is installed in the same orientation as the faulty one; otherwise, it may burn out.
4. Use a soldering iron and solder wire to solder the pins of the new MOSFET, ensuring the pins are fully soldered.
1. Before replacement, always disconnect the miner's power supply and discharge any residual high voltage from the large capacitors on the circuit board to prevent electric shock.
2. Control the soldering iron temperature and shorten the soldering time to avoid damaging the MOSFET gate with high temperature.
3. Apply thermal grease during assembly to improve heat dissipation and extend the lifespan of the MOSFET.
4. After replacement, test the power output under no-load conditions, then test under full load to confirm there are no restart or shutdown faults.
