The 400uH 20A toroidal PFC power inductor is specifically developed for the repair and replacement of power supplies in Antminer APW17 series miners. It uses flat copper enameled wire wound in a toroidal shape and is used in PFC power factor correction circuits. It is compatible with power supplies for miners such as S21, S21XP, S21Pro, S19jXP, KS5PRO, S21++, L11, L9, etc., effectively solving problems such as inductor overheating, magnetic saturation, coil burnout, and power supply failures preventing startup. It uses industrial-grade components and perfectly matches the original mounting dimensions, allowing for direct replacement without board modifications.
1. Wound with flat enameled copper strip, offering stronger current-carrying capacity and lower DC internal resistance compared to round copper wire. This results in less heat generation under high current operation, reducing the risk of high-temperature protection.

1. Discharge: Before opening the power supply casing, disconnect the power and discharge any stored energy from the APW17 power supply capacitors.
2. Locate: Identify the faulty inductor on the primary side of the power supply (located in the PFC boost stage between the input rectifier and the main switching MOSFET).
3. Solder: Carefully desolder the PCB pins. Since the component is secured to the board with epoxy resin at its base, use an appropriate desoldering pump or wick, and avoid pulling forcefully on the casing. After cleaning the solder pads, install the new 400uH/20A inductor, ensuring the pin orientation matches the original, and then perform reflow soldering.
4. Inspect: Examine the solder joints under a magnifying glass for any cold or poor solder connections. Reassemble the unit, then use a variable transformer to gradually increase the load and power up the device. Verify that the PFC boost stage meets specifications and the main output remains stable under the miner's full load before returning the power supply to service.
