NTMFS5C604NL N-channel power MOSFET for Antminer S19 Hydro hashboard
The NTMFS5C604NLT1G is a DFN5×6 packaged N-channel high-power MOSFET with a withstand voltage of 60V, a rated current of 38A, and an on-resistance of only 1.2mΩ. It is widely used in the Antminer S19 Hydro hash board as a power-supply switch for hash-board groups, controlling the on/off state of the voltage domain of a single ASIC chip. Working in conjunction with a step-down chip, it stabilizes the chip's core voltage, serving as a core-switching device for a stable power supply and hardware overcurrent protection for each group of chips on the hash board.
When a chip marked with 5C604L fails, all ASIC chips in that area become unrecognizable, the hash rate of that segment is reset to zero, the corresponding voltage domain experiences a large voltage drop, unstable power supply, chip recognition failures, a significant and frequent drop in the overall hash rate, and intermittent restarts of the miner. Long-term aging and overheating of the device can cause chain breaks, intermittent offline operation of the hash board, and severe short circuits can burn the PCB copper foil, causing permanent damage to the entire hash board.
