The VS3603GPMT is a high-power N-channel step-down MOSFET. It has a 30V withstand voltage, a 205A rated current, and is packaged in a PDFN5x6 package. It is widely used in the step-down power supply circuits of the Antminer S19 series hash boards, serving as a core power device for stable partitioned power supply and low-heat operation under full load.
When the drain-source of the VS3603GPMT MOS transistor breaks down and short-circuits, the corresponding power supply branch voltage drops and fluctuates violently. This can lead to chip recognition failure, a sharp drop in the overall hash rate, normal recognition under no load but continuous frequency reduction under full load, random restarts of the miner, frequent overheating under full load, intermittent hash rate fluctuations, and intermittent offline chain breaks in the hash board. With prolonged aging, it will gradually deteriorate into a hard short circuit and fail.
