Bitcoin mining firm Stronghold Digital Mining acquires a Scrubgrass power plant.

According to sources, the Pennsylvania-based Bitcoin mining company Stronghold Digital Mining recently acquired the Scrubgrass power plant in financial distress. The plant will burn waste coal from Pennsylvania to power the on-site mining hardware in a container next to the plant. The plant currently provides electricity to 1,800 Bitcoin miners and plans to increase production by 2022 to support more than 20,000 miners.
