According to reports, Houston data center power management company Lancium has signed a $2.4 billion development cooperation agreement with Tyler County and Abilene, Texas, to build a large-scale renewable energy-powered data center. The data center will focus on Bitcoin mining and other energy-intensive applications, and its construction will begin in the first quarter of 2022. The data center campus will start at 200 MW and expand to more than 1-gigawatt capacity. Previously reported that on November 24, Lancium raised 150 million US dollars and pointed out that its data center will carry bitcoin mining, high-throughput computing, and other energy-intensive applications while providing power management services.
