According to reports, two bitcoin mining companies, Bitfarms (BITF) and Marathon Digital (MARA), respectively, announced on Monday that they had mined more than 3,000 bitcoins in 2021. Canadian mining company Bitfarms produced 3,452 bitcoins throughout the year, while Marathon in the United States mined 3,197 bitcoins. By the end of the year, Bitfarms' total holdings had increased to more than 3,300 bitcoins, valued at 151.8 million U.S. dollars at current prices. In contrast, Marathon holdings had increased to 8133 BTC, valued at approximately 375.8 million U.S. dollars.
