Russia: Willing to Accept Bitcoin for Natural Resource Exports

Russia is willing to accept bitcoin to export its natural resources, Pavel Zavalny, the chairman of the Russian parliament's energy committee, reportedly said at a news conference on Thursday. Navalny explained that Russia is willing to accept payments in different currencies, starting with gas, depending on the buyer's preferred payment method. However, the chairman said the terms would depend on the status of the importing country's diplomatic relations with Russia, which could trade with "friendly" countries in its currency or bitcoin.
