Crypto payments firm Strike has partnered with e-commerce giant Shopify to allow merchants to accept bitcoin payments

Lightning Network payment platform Strike has reportedly announced a partnership with e-commerce giant Shopify, partnering with software company NCR and payments company Blackhawk to build a new Lightning Network-based payment system that will enable eligible U.S. Shopify merchants to receive payments from customers around the world. Bitcoin payments are accepted there in USD. The system will be suitable for online sales by Shopify merchants and branch transactions at many large chains. Strike CEO Jack Mallers said the service would be available to any consumer globally with a Lightning Network wallet, including the more than 70 million users of CashApp, the mobile payment service developed by Square.
