A senior Kraken official has reportedly stated that the UAE is becoming a global cryptocurrency hub. Benjamin Ampen, Managing Director of Kraken Mena, stressed that the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the UAE is increasing. In April, Kraken became the first global cryptocurrency exchange for receiving a full license to operate a regulated virtual asset trading platform on the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). Earlier this week, Kraken and RAKBank announced that UAE residents would soon be able to trade virtual assets for dirhams using a local bank account.
