Bitcoin hash rate hits all-time high

Created 2023/01/09

Bitcoin’s hash rate reportedly hit an all-time high (ATH) on January 6, 2023, at block height 770,709. With a milestone of approximately 361.20 (EH/s) per second, the hash rate is more than 4% higher than the previous record of 347.16 (EH/s) set on November 12, 2022. As of press time, the hash rate is currently running at 290 (EH/s). Due to the high hash rate, the block generation time is much faster than the average 10 minutes. Statistics show that the current block interval is between 8:51 and 7:31 minutes. The data also shows that the cost of producing BTC has fallen. The production cost of Bitcoin is $16,568 per unit, compared to the spot price of $16,920.
