Bitmain, a world-leading manufacturer in the cryptocurrency field, will officially launch the Antminer KS7 ASIC miner in May. This model is specifically designed for the Kaspa blockchain and optimized for the KHeavyHash mining algorithm. With a hash rate of up to 40TH/s and a power consumption of 3080W, it maintains an excellent energy efficiency ratio of 77J/Gh. It provides us with a more profitable mining option and injects new impetus into the long-term development of Kaspa mining.
Compared to the previous generation models, the Antminer KS5 and KS5 Pro, the Antminer KS7 has approximately twice the hash rate. The KS5 has a power consumption of 3000W, while the KS5 Pro's power consumption is higher, reaching 3150W. In contrast, the Antminer KS7 miner performs quite remarkably in terms of performance.
Some professionals have pointed out that the energy efficiency advantage of the KS7 may accelerate the elimination of low-efficiency miners and help drive the entire industry towards higher hash rate density and lower energy consumption. Bitmain also stated that it may continue to invest in the research and development of ASIC chips in the future, helping blockchain networks achieve more efficient and sustainable development.
