Maduro: Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies circulate in Venezuela

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro stated in an interview a few days ago that Bitcoin is circulating in Venezuela. Maduro said that in Venezuela, all cryptocurrencies are in circulation. Citizens can combine currency and cryptocurrency. You can hold Euros, U.S. dollars, Renminbi, Russian rubles, or Bolivars, and buy any cryptocurrency, and you can exchange petrocoins for bitcoins. Maduro also said that Venezuela began accepting Bitcoin in business and economic operations in 2018, and it was the first country in the world to accept Bitcoin. It was already three years ago.
