Blockstream will invest in a series of projects including geothermal mining in El Salvador

Bitcoin technology company Blockstream has announced that it will provide terms to connect El Salvador to the Blockstream satellite project, a way to synchronize with the Bitcoin network during Internet outages or shutdowns. The company also announced plans to open Bitcoin mining facilities. Samson Mow, Chief Strategy Officer of Blockstream, said that the company has shipped two satellite kits to the country and said that “early” but “high-level” conversations are taking place around “geothermal mining”.
