A key to microgrid technology is that it uses energy from various green energy sources, including solar, wind, and hydropower. By using this new extraction method, Clean Spark says it can now "improve its hash rate" and "reduce power consumption." According to a new report from Navigant Research, it is expected that the cryptocurrency mining business will begin to make more use of this microgrid technology in the future. It is estimated that by 2029, approximately 28% of encrypted mining energy will come from microgrid technology.
