The 6R041C6 IPW60R041C6 650V 77.5A superjunction high-voltage MOSFET is the main switch for the PFC boost converter in high-power ASIC mining rig power supplies. It provides a clean and stable high voltage to the subsequent LLC main conversion circuit, ensuring a stable 12V power supply to the hash board under full load.
After the 6R041C6 malfunctions, the AC input fuse of the ASIC miner power supply blows instantly upon power-on, resulting in no 400V high voltage, the miner failing to power on at all, the PFC heatsink becoming abnormally hot, and the no-load 400V bus voltage being low. Connecting the hash board immediately causes a voltage drop and machine shutdown, while under full load, it shuts down briefly due to high temperature. A severe short circuit can also burn out the drive resistor, PFC driver chip, and boost SiC diode, causing the high-voltage power circuit board to burn black and emit a strong burnt smell.
