BDX33C is a silicon Epitaxial-Base NPN power transistor in a monolithic Darlington configuration, mounted in Jedec TO-220 plastic package. It is used for in power linear and switching applications. The complementary PNP type is BDX34C.
The BDX33C is a 100V/10A NPN high-power transistor in ASIC mining power supplies; it is commonly used for auxiliary power supply drive, fan speed control, overcurrent protection control, auxiliary power switching circuits, stabilizing 12V/24V auxiliary power supply, controlling the start/stop of the cooling fan, and providing the base operating voltage for the main power PFC and LLC circuits.
When the BDX33C fails, the auxiliary power supply becomes abnormal: the fan does not rotate, the power indicator light does not illuminate, the main control chip receives no power, the entire machine has no 12V main output, and the mining machine will not power on at all. In the event of a severe short circuit, surrounding current-limiting resistors and the auxiliary power chip will burn out, the PCB will become partially blackened, and a burnt odor will be emitted.
